Sisters in Crime was delighted to be invited to attend the launch on Sunday of the new ABC drama, Newton’s Law, which starts on Thursday 9 February and runs for the next eight weeks (repeated Saturdays 10.30pm and Tuesdays 1pm).
Described as the ‘Upstairs Downstairs’ of legal dramas, it follows Josephine Newton (Claudia Karvan) as she juggles the high-powered barrister’s world of Knox Chambers and the haphazard legal tangles of her former solicitor’s office.
The Sunday Age gave it five stars and the Sisters in Crime viewers reckon it’s worth every one of them – wonderful story lines interlaced with great humour, superb acting and scenes of Melbourne’s West.
It’s bought to our screens by Every Cloud Productions, the creators of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. Another triumph for Fiona Eagger and Deb Cox.
